Local SEO for trade businesses in Germany
Someone types „emergency heating“ and a town name in the evening, sees three businesses in the map area and usually calls one of them. We make sure yours is there and that the page behind it turns the click into an enquiry.
In short and in plain language
This page is about local SEO for trade businesses. SEO means people near you can find you on Google.
We look after your entry on the map. Each trade and each key town gets its own page.
Your site should work well on a phone. We help with reviews. Each month you get a short report.
This takes time. We do not promise a set place on Google. We promise the work, the price and the report. The support can be canceled with one month's notice to the end of the month. There is no minimum term.
The initial assessment of where your business stands is free. Write to us or give us a call.

A trade business is rarely found through general search terms. It is found through two words and a place: trade, problem, town. People searching like that usually have damage, a deadline or a building project and call within minutes. Local visibility therefore does not mean ranking high somewhere in general, it means being visible at the moment someone within thirty kilometres looks for exactly what you already do. We build that visibility in four places: business profile, website, reviews and technology.
From the search to the phone call
What local visibility means for a trade business
Search engines treat queries with a local reference differently from general questions. As soon as a place is typed in, or the device knows the location, a map area moves to the top, usually showing three businesses. Which three appear is decided by different things than in a classic result list: the distance to the person searching, how complete the business profile is, the chosen categories, the reviews, and whether the details on your website match those in the profile.
Below that, the familiar result list begins, and there it matters whether a page exists for the trade being searched for at all. A business with seven services on a single page has only a weak signal for each of them. Seven separate pages, each with its own photos, its own sentences and a clear location, are seven chances for the same work. That is what we mean by structure instead of coincidence.
The figures for the German trades do not argue against these businesses, they point to something simple: nearly all of them are present somewhere. 94 percent (Bitkom) of trade businesses run their own website and 88 percent (Bitkom) appear in online directories. Being visible is no longer an advantage in itself. The difference comes afterwards: whether someone from the neighbouring village finds you in the map area, whether they land on a page that deals with their problem, and whether they can call you in two steps.
What the ongoing support covers
Search terms with a local reference
We gather what people in your service area actually search for and assign those terms to your trades and towns. The result is a plan of which pages need to exist and in what order.
One page per trade
Every trade gets its own page with its own wording, its own photos and the service area named. No collective page where electrical work, heat pumps and emergency callouts share three paragraphs.
Business profile
Set up or taken over, with the right primary and secondary categories, services, opening and callout hours, photos of the business. After that, ongoing care instead of a one-off effort. More on the page about the business profile.
Reviews
A calm way of asking for reviews: the right moment after handover, a short link, a card in the van. Plus prepared replies, including for the jobs that did not go well.
Technical basics
Loading time under two and a half seconds on a mobile network, clean handling on a phone, machine-readable address and opening-hours data, correct redirects after a relaunch.
A report on one page
Once a month, on a single sheet: calls through the profile, submitted forms, route requests and the search terms behind them. Plus one sentence on what we plan for the coming month.
How this spreads out over time
What works in weeks and what takes months
Part of the work shows quickly, part of it does not. The business profile is the fast part: complete details, matching categories and current photos often change visibility in the map area within days. New pages, by contrast, first have to be crawled and classified, and in the surrounding area they compete with businesses that have been there for years. Deciding after a few weeks whether it works means deciding too early.
- Profile work: usually takes effect fastest
- New service pages: need a few weeks until search engines have indexed them
- Town pages and reviews: take effect over months, because the local field moves slowly
Four layers that build on each other
Reviews help little if the page behind them cannot be used on a phone. A fast page helps little if there is no text for the trade being searched for. So we work from the bottom up: technology first, then content, then profile, then trust. That order costs patience early on and saves rework later.
- Technology first: reachable, fast, usable on a phone
- Content second: one page per trade and per town with real project photos
- Profile and reviews on top: they amplify what sits below, they do not replace it
How we work together
Initial assessment, free of charge
We look at where your business appears today: business profile, website, directory entries, visibility for the search terms of your trade within your own area. You get an honest assessment, even if it says that monthly support does not make sense for you yet.
A plan with an order
The stocktaking turns into an ordered list: what comes first, what follows, what we leave alone for now. Along with the price, the scope and the earliest point at which anything can show. All in writing before the first month begins.
Cleaning up the basics
The first month is about the foundation: completing the profile, correcting categories, aligning contradictory address and phone details across directories, checking and fixing loading time and phone usability.
Building the pages
Then come the pages that were missing: one per trade, one for each of the most important towns. Written after a phone call with you or someone from the business, using your projects and your service area, not a template.
Review and adjust
From the second month the report arrives. We go through it briefly on the phone, decide together what comes next and carry on. If you want to stop, you cancel with one month's notice to the end of the month; the pages and the profile stay yours.

The technical side, briefly
The technical part is the least spectacular and still the one where most trade websites fail. Anyone searching in the evening on a site or in a van does not have a fast connection. A page that takes four seconds loses part of those people before the first sentence appears. Add small things with a large effect: a phone number you can tap, a form with four fields instead of fourteen, an address stored in machine-readable form so that maps and voice assistants read it out correctly.
- Loading time on a mobile network measurably under two and a half seconds to the largest element
- Phone number as a tappable link, visible at the top of every page
- Address, opening hours and services additionally stored in machine-readable form
- A separate address for each trade and each town, no redirect to the home page
- Images in modern formats so the project gallery does not block the connection
- After a relaunch: old addresses permanently redirected to the new ones
What this support is and what it is not
Three routes to the same question
There is more than one way to be found locally. The routes differ in effort, in how long they take, and in what belongs to you at the end.
Ongoing SEO support
- Included: Slow to work but lasting: the pages and the profile belong to the business
- Included: Fixed monthly price from 490 euros per month, cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month
- Included: Monthly report on calls, forms and route requests
- Not included: Needs patience: the first months are building, not harvesting
Only running ads
- Included: Visible the same day, useful for callouts and gaps in the schedule
- Not included: Visibility ends the moment the budget ends
- Not included: Builds nothing that belongs to the business long term
Doing it yourself on the side
- Included: Costs no money and keeps responsibility in house
- Not included: It is the first thing dropped in the busy season
- Not included: Categories, directories and technology drift apart unnoticed
What we do not promise: a particular position, a particular date or a number of enquiries. Anyone promising that either does not know how search engines work or is counting on nobody checking. We commit to what is in our hands: the agreed work, the price fixed beforehand, and a report from which you can see for yourself whether anything is moving. If nothing moves over several months, we say so ourselves and suggest something else, even if that means ending the arrangement.
