Winning staff through your own website
A trade business looking for people no longer competes only with the firm in the next village, but with every employer someone can find on a phone in the evening. A careers page with an honest job advert and an application that takes a few minutes puts your company in that shortlist.
In short and in plain language
This page shows how your website can help you find new staff. That means skilled workers, masters and trainees.
We add a careers section to your website. It answers what applicants want to know. For example the area, the hours and the team.
Applying is quick and works on a phone. A short form is enough, no cover letter is needed. People who would rather call can do that too.
Apprenticeships get a page of their own. Pupils and parents have other questions.
We do not pick staff for you. We only build the way to apply. Tell us which job is open.

There are companies with full order books that still have a problem: they cannot get the work done because two positions have been open for half a year. The notice on the workshop door no longer helps, and the job portal delivers applications from areas nobody wants to drive to. This page describes how your website for trade businesses becomes a route on which qualified tradespeople, master craftsmen and apprentices actually get in touch — and what that costs.
From the advert to the conversation in the workshop

The essentials in five sentences
- The careers section is part of the website at a fixed price from 1,490 euros net and replaces the notice on the workshop door.
- A job advert answers the questions a tradesperson asks: working area, hours, overtime, vehicle, crew size, training.
- The short application works without a cover letter and requires no login, no profile and no uploaded file.
- The phone call stays equal in rank: many people do not apply in writing, they call.
- Apprenticeships need a page of their own, because parents and school leavers ask different questions.
Why open positions in the trades stay open for so long
The skills shortage is no longer a footnote in the trades: 75 per cent (Bitkom) of businesses see it as a central problem. At the same time, 80 per cent (Bitkom) already address young talent through digital channels. The one explains the other: people search where searching happens. Only, in many companies that digital channel is a single sentence on the home page, written at some point years ago, that reaches nobody today.
The second reason lies not in visibility but in the route behind it. Someone looking for a new job in the evening finds your company, reads three lines and then hits the sentence: please send applications with complete documents to our email address. At that moment the matter is closed. Not because there is no interest, but because between interest and application there is suddenly an evening at a computer, which nobody schedules when they are on site at six in the morning. That is exactly the gap a careers section closes, as described in our services.
What an applicant is really looking for on your careers page
Job adverts in the trades look alike because they often come from the same template: motivated team, modern equipment, competitive pay. That is written everywhere, and therefore says nothing. What a tradesperson wants to know before getting in touch is far more concrete — and it is always the same six points.
Where the work happens
A working radius of 20 kilometres is something quite different from installation work across northern Germany. Stating it honestly loses a few applications and wins the fitting ones.
Hours and overtime
Start, finish, the Friday arrangement and how overtime is handled matter more to many people than the hourly rate. Whether overtime is paid out or taken as time off is something hardly anyone writes down.
Vehicle and tools
Own vehicle, tools carried along, how the workshop is equipped: everyday work hangs on these. A photo of the fleet says more than three adjectives.
How big the crew is
Alone, in a pair, or in a crew of five? Who leads, who trains, how many apprentices are there: that draws a picture no slogan can replace.
What comes next
Master school, certifications, manufacturer training, moving up to site management. An advert that names the next step speaks to people who want to stay.
What the company looks like
Workshop, break room, fleet, a finished project: pictures from your own company answer questions nobody asks out loud. How those photographs come about is described under photos for trade websites.
Two routes to an application, side by side
The principle is simple: whoever wants to get in touch should be able to do so the way that suits them. Some prefer a form because they do not want to talk about themselves on the phone. Others call, because talking comes easier to them than writing. A careers section that offers only one of the two loses half of the candidates. What that looks like in design terms is shown in our web design for the trades.
The application itself and what happens afterwards
A short application instead of a folder of documents
The short application asks for what is enough for a first assessment: name, trade or desired apprenticeship, experience, place of residence and a phone number with a preferred time for a call back. No cover letter, no login, no profile, no uploaded file. Certificates and CV follow later. The form can be filled in one-handed on a phone, with fields large enough for fingers that have been on tools all day.
- Five mandatory fields, everything else optional
- Sent from a phone in a few minutes
- No login and no applicant account
- Documents can be submitted later
The phone call remains a full route
In our experience a considerable share of applications in the trades arrives by phone (project experience). That is why the number sits as prominently as the form, as a tappable target and not as an image. Alongside it belongs a note about when somebody answers: whoever reaches nobody at eight in the evening rarely calls a second time.
- Phone number as a tap target on every careers page
- A note about when somebody really answers
- Call-back request with a time slot in the form
- Confirmation of receipt by email to the sender
How your careers section is built
A talk at your company
We sit down with you and with the people who will later answer the applications: who you are looking for, what everyday work in your crew is like, what sets your company apart. Söhlde lies between Hildesheim, Peine and Salzgitter; within that radius an on-site appointment is the normal case.
Photographs on site
At the same appointment we take pictures of the workshop, the break room, the fleet and a finished project. No staged scenes and no stock imagery, which always shows it is not your company. The photography has no separate price, it is part of the project price.
Writing the adverts
Every open position gets its own page with tasks, working area, hours, vehicle, team and training. The wording follows the German General Equal Treatment Act, with the (m/f/d) addition and without age requirements. You read it through and change whatever does not fit.
Setting up the application routes
Short application, call-back request and phone number are set up and tested, including on older phones. Applications go into a mailbox somebody reads, with a confirmation of receipt for the sender.
Handover and upkeep
You get a briefing on how to publish a position and close it again. Anyone who would rather not do that hands it over: publishing new adverts and closing filled positions is part of maintenance and support from 49 euros per month, cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, no minimum term.

Apprenticeships need a page of their own
28.7 per cent (ZDH) of all apprentices in Germany train in the trades. Yet companies looking to fill an apprenticeship often write the same advert as for a qualified tradesperson — and then wonder why nobody responds. A fifteen-year-old and their parents want to know how the first day goes, who looks after them, where the vocational school is and whether a work placement is possible beforehand. And the effort pays off for companies too: 54 per cent (Bitkom) of businesses that train apprentices say they benefit from their apprentices' knowledge and skills when it comes to digitalisation. Which trades we work with is listed under sectors.
- One page per apprenticeship, in language a school leaver understands
- How the apprenticeship runs: duration, vocational school, exams, employment afterwards
- An offer of a work placement, with a clear note on who to contact about it
- Name and photo of the person responsible for apprentices
- Pictures from the company instead of staged stock motifs
- A short application that works without a CV, plus a phone number for the parents

If you already have a website, you get an assessment beforehand as to whether the careers section fits in or whether a rebuild is the more honest route. All prices net plus VAT.
