Websites for trade businesses that bring in enquiries
We build sites for firms with 3 to 40 staff: usable on a phone, showing your own project photos, with a form that asks for the details you need to quote. The price is fixed before any work starts.
In short and in plain language
We build websites for trade businesses. We work for the trades and no one else. Our office is in Söhlde near Hildesheim.
Your site is easy to use on a phone. It shows photos of your own work. A form asks for the details you need to quote.
We come to your business to take the photos. This is part of the price. Each trade gets its own page.
You know the price before the work starts. If you like, we look after the site for you later. You can cancel this with one month's notice to the end of the month. There is no minimum term.
The first call is free and without obligation. Write to us or give us a call.

Whether a trade business can be found online is no longer decided by having a website at all: 94 percent (Bitkom) of German trade businesses run their own site and 88 percent (Bitkom) are also listed in online directories. The difference lies in whether the site can be operated one-handed on a phone, whether anyone can see what you have actually built, and whether an enquiry arrives with enough detail to judge it without three phone calls. We work for trade businesses only. What that covers is set out under Services.

What the site we build looks like
What belongs on a trade business website
A website for a trade business has a manageable job: within seconds it should show what work you do, how far you travel, what your work looks like and how to reach you. Everything else is decoration. So we do not build sites with fifteen menu items but a clear order: trades, projects, service area, company, contact. What that looks like in practice is shown in finished layouts under Design examples — there you can see concrete layouts rather than read a description of them.
Your own projects
Photos from your business instead of stock imagery. We spend half a day with a camera in your workshop and on a site. That session has no separate price, it is part of the project price.
Built for the hand
The site is designed for the phone first, not for a large screen. Large buttons, readable type, phone number visible without scrolling. The target is a largest image in under 2.5 seconds.
Service area spelled out
Towns and travel radius are written out on the site. That saves journeys that do not pay off and makes sure you are considered in your own region at all.
Enquiries with substance
The form asks for trade, location, timing and type of work. You do not receive an empty message but an enquiry you can judge before calling back.
Vacancies and apprenticeships
75 percent (Bitkom) of trade businesses see the skills shortage as a central problem and 80 percent (Bitkom) use digital channels to reach young talent. A careers section is part of the build.
Reachable without detours
Phone number, office hours and a short note on when a call back is realistic. 85 percent (Bitkom) of businesses report a clear expectation of constant availability.
Two points where most sites fail
The old site cannot be operated on a phone
Many sites date from a time when most visitors sat at a desk. Today a large share arrives from a phone, often standing up and one-handed. If someone has to pinch and drag before the phone number appears, they take the next result in the list instead. That is why we build from the smallest screen upwards and check every page on a phone before it goes live. What rebuilding an existing site involves is described under Website relaunch.
- Phone number and form reachable without scrolling
- Type and buttons usable even with work gloves on
- Images delivered in smaller versions for small screens
The enquiry arrives without the details you need
A form with name, email and message creates work rather than jobs. You call back, ask for location, trade and timing, and ten minutes later it is clear the job does not fit. Our forms ask exactly the points that decide between yes and no, and can still be filled in within a few minutes. Less comes in, but what comes in is usable. For the project photos that make an enquiry credible in the first place, see Photos for the website.
- Trade and service as a choice instead of free text
- Location and timing asked for before the call back
- Photos of the site can be attached
For your trade, not for some generic industry
A roofer sells differently from a joinery, and an electrical firm receives different enquiries from a tiling contractor. So we do not start from an empty template but from a structure that fits your trade: which services deserve a page of their own, which photos convince, which details belong in the form. We have worked this out for eight trades; an overview is available under Sectors. If you work across several trades, we reflect that without making the site confusing.
Electrical contractors
Installation, inspections, charging points and callout service shown separately.
Plumbing and heating
Boiler replacement, bathrooms and maintenance as separate entry points.
Roofing contractors
Pitched roofs, flat roofs, storm damage and scaffolding with matching photos.
Painters and decorators
Interiors, facades and floor coverings with before and after photos of real work.
Joineries
Fitted furniture, interior fit-out and repairs, with a gallery that shows detail.
Carpentry firms
Roof structures, extensions and timber construction, with notes on process on site.
Tiling contractors
Bathrooms, living spaces and commercial areas, sorted by format and substrate.
Metalwork firms
Railings, gates, stairs and locksmithing, with dimensions given for each project.
How a project runs
The process is deliberately short, because your time is needed in the business and not in rounds of coordination. In total the project takes about a day of your time: one phone call, one appointment at your premises with a camera and one sign-off. Everything else happens at our end.
First call
Twenty minutes, free of charge, no preparation needed. We clarify the trade, service area, any existing site and what the new one should achieve. After that you know whether we are a fit.
Appointment at your premises
We come to you, look at the workshop and, where possible, a live site, and take photos. Most of the images and text come out of this appointment — you talk, we take notes.
Draft of the home page
You see the finished home page, not a sketch. Anything that does not fit is changed in this round. Only once the home page is settled do the remaining pages follow.
Build and content
Trade pages, project section, company page, contact page with form, imprint and privacy policy. We set up the technology, hosting and encryption, so you do not have to order anything.
Launch and handover
We put the site live, register the business in the business profile and show you in half an hour how to change text and photos yourself. On request we take on the upkeep.

What a website actually costs
We state the price before the project, not from a timesheet afterwards. Entry level is 1,490 euros net for a complete site with trade pages, a project section and an enquiry form. Rebuilding an existing site starts at 2,900 euros net, because old content has to be reviewed, addresses redirected and past mistakes cleared up. Ongoing services are deliberately bookable one by one and cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, so you carry nothing you do not need. A detailed breakdown of what each one includes is available under Pricing.
| Service | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Website at a fixed price | from 1,490 euros net | Home page, trade pages, project section, company page, contact page with enquiry form, imprint and privacy policy, photo session on site |
| Relaunch of an existing website | from 2,900 euros net | Review of the old content, new structure, redirects for the old addresses, reuse of usable photos and text |
| Website support | from 49 euros per month | Updates, backups, availability monitoring, small changes to text and photos. Cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, no minimum term |
| Hosting in Germany | from 15 euros per month | Operation on servers in Germany, encryption, daily backups. Cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, no minimum term |
| Local visibility and business profile | from 290 euros per month | Upkeep of the business profile, directory entries, handling of reviews. Cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, no minimum term |
| SEO support | from 490 euros per month | Technical upkeep, content for trades and towns, reporting on visibility. Cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month, no minimum term |
What comes up after launch
Build it yourself or have it built
Anyone with the energy after a day on site and two free weekends can put a site together themselves — that is not a bad route and we will not talk anyone out of it. In practice it rarely fails on willingness and almost always on time: text, photos, legal pages and the upkeep afterwards all stay with the business. The three usual routes are set side by side below, and in more detail under Website builder or agency.
Three routes to your own website
Set out factually. Which route fits depends mostly on how much office time is genuinely free in your business.
Website builder, done yourself
- Included: Low running costs and a quick start
- Not included: Text, photos and legal pages remain your job
- Not included: It often stalls half-finished after the first busy week
- Not included: Service area and enquiry form are rarely solved properly
Leave the old site running
- Included: Costs nothing for now and is reachable
- Not included: Usually only usable on a phone by pinching and zooming
- Not included: Without current project photos no trust is built
- Not included: Enquiries arrive without detail and cost call backs
A website from a trade specialist
- Included: Trades, projects and service area at a glance
- Included: The photo session on site is part of the project price
- Included: Fixed price from 1,490 euros net, scope agreed beforehand
- Included: Upkeep optional from 49 euros per month, cancelable with one month's notice to the end of the month
Where we work
We are based in Söhlde between Hildesheim and Salzgitter and travel to appointments. Each town in the area has a page of its own rather than a long list in the footer, because a list of place names means little to readers or search engines. The overview is under Regions. For your business to show up in its own town, a well-kept business profile and proper local pages belong together; how we go about that is described under SEO for tradespeople.
Service area: eight towns with their own page
We travel to appointments at your premises, especially for the photo session. We also work outside these towns; in that case we agree on travel during the first call.
Typical starting points in the trades
The three starting points below are examples, not client projects. They do not show what comes out at the end, but what a business typically starts with: a site without photos, a website that cannot be used on a phone, or vacancies nobody outside the immediate circle hears about.
Where things usually go wrong
Example, not a client project. No particular outcome is assured.
